WhoAmI?
My name is Antonio Wong. I graduated from University of Manchester with a degree in Mathematics with Statistics in 2004 and subsequently studied a MSc in Statistics with UCL. Currently I live in Macau and work as an analyst in a bank. My main interests are developing equity trading system based on human behavior and exploring/taking advantages of different market abnormalities. I traded mainly U.S. stocks with event trading based on earnings as my core investing philosophy.
The purpose of this site is to gather people who are interested in similar methods, thereby start some constructive discussions and researches to further improve the methodology and apply it to Hong Kong/Global market . It is also my wishes to get to meet more investors, to learn about different investing strategies and to share my investing concepts/knowledge.

Nice site. I’ve traveled to Macau and enjoyed the area.
I’m currently working on an automated trading strategy based on a very good stock service from the USA. The startegy is based upon value and market timing as well as safety. I’ve had unbelievable results with a few backtest strategies involving lower-priced stocks.
This is the first time I have been on your site.

Hi Robert,
Ya Macau is an interesting place. It observed quite a lot of the excess money from China and transfer to our government through gaming tax and US companies like MGM, Wynn and LVS.
About the strategy you talked about, I use Portfolio123 to do different backtest as well. Some strategies do give good result, but the problem is liquidity, most of those stocks are very thinned traded, don’t know if it is a problem of your strategy?
